Information
Architecture, according to book definition, is
the art of navigating and accessing information
in a logical and intuitive fashion. Information
architecture involves the design of organization,
labeling, navigation, and searching systems to
help people find and manage information more successfully.
There are 'n' number of definitions for this term.
My work may it be UI design, Interactive design
or web design, all this applications have a information
structure in them, which is to faciliate the user
to access information which he has a desire of.
So my definition comes down to :
'The art of organising
and labeling the content with a effective means
of clear and simple navigation between various
pages within a web site/application in a useful
and easily accesible nature can be termed as Information
Architecture.'
